10) saw a psych for the first time and got diagnosed with an eating disorder
11) realized I was sleeping around for validation, not pleasure
12) changed jobs twice – ended up at the best workplace with the best colleagues I’ve ever had
13) learnt how to make specialty coffee
14) got 5 new qualifications
15) learnt how to catch prawns
16) started exercising and learning how to look after my mind and body from a place of love and care
17) started pole dancing
18) had my first real emotional connection with a child
19) went to a funeral
20) learnt to love reading books again
21) started (and stopped!) purging
22) lost my period
23) had my first Pap smear and STI test
24) went to the dentist for the first time in 9 years
25) watched my awesome mum successfully beat colon cancer!
26) had my first aura reading (Thanks guys!)
27) gave evidence for an investigation into my grubby ex manager who was finally held accountable for his terrible behavior
On reflection, 2019 has been my fullest year to date with immense self discovery and development. Dizzying highs and plummeting lows, dark and light. This year has taught that life is a full palette of colors, and we can learn to appreciate the sunshine as well as the storm clouds. I can’t wait to see what 2020 teaches me.
