Sinta daydreams a lot, she writes, sings, and creates to pour her thoughts out of her cramped brain. She also loves dogs. Must love dogs.

I’ve grown up with a mindset that made me think using makeup meant you’re fake.
That if you need makeup, it’s because you’re not beautiful enough. I don’t know where it came from, but was just there.
I never really wore makeup, but when I did, I hated it. I thought, I don’t look like me, I look like someone else, so I don’t feel like myself. And who’s to blame? Is it my face? Am I too ugly to be made up? So, I’d hate it even more.
As I’ve grown up, I’ve come to realize that it’s not the fault of my face, nor the fault of makeup. It’s the industry and how society has been shaped to make us think we need to look like a certain someone. And that is never true.
I started to realize that I can look like me while wearing makeup, and I learned to accept the fact that wearing makeup doesn’t mean that you’re not beautiful enough.
Lifting my lashes lifts up my days. Blush makes me want to smile more. Looking like the best version of me sometimes helps me get through the day.
So, I used to hate makeup. But now we comfort each other sometimes.
