It’s a privilege and a curse Image

#mentalhealthawarenessmonth

It’s easy to say that staying at home is a privilege.

Some can work at the comfort of their own homes.

Some can sleep peacefully at night knowing that they are safe with the best health possible.

Some can pick up their old hobbies.

Some can purchase anything with a simple click.

Some can finally organise their room.

And some can even create a workout routine for themselves.

But that isn’t the case for everybody — as staying at home can also be a curse for those who struggle.

With their own thoughts.

With their own worries.

With their own doubts.

With their own pain.

And it’s hard now more than ever when we’re all encouraged to self-isolate.

Especially when socialising, working at the office, dining in or simply going out to get some fresh air allows your mind to take a break from overthinking.

So if you feel trapped and exhausted,

I want you to know that I’m thinking of you  and that it will get better.

In time.
