I knew them for three months
met them through the internet
we were good friends, i would say
and then we stopped talking
we were busy, busy, busy
and then the BLM emerged prominently
i expressed my views
they disagreed
they worried about how these riots would make people’s lives sad
BUT IS IT NOT THIS SYSTEMATIC OPPRESSION THAT MAKES PEOPLE’S LIVES MISERABLE ? 
and with no protests or riots, there was no change
we NEED CHANGE.
they were too stubborn 
twisting my words
making me seem like the bad guy
they made me cry
they made me want to say “fuck you”
i know you can have different views on things
but you made me feel like shit

so no thank you. 

I now try to understand the frustration that Black people must experience, and I’m sorry to all of you. I will strive to fight alongside with you
