Those cute apartments…

They have a bed, kitchen, and bathroom all in one. All the basic necessities that you could ever need…

That’s what I want to be like.

Self Contained.

It will be on the ground floor so that I can step outside and feel the grass under my feet and the sun on my skin, so I can know I am a part of the world, not just living in it.

There will be a small pantry full of those things that never go off and you can use forever… A jar of hugs for those days and nights when nothing seems to go my way, a can of baked belief for the times when I forget that I’m worthy.

And some preserved Self-love just in case some hate creeps in.

The bar fridge has tiny milk for when the tea of my thoughts gets a little dark as well as a bottle of champagne, for the times I will celebrate.

The tiny bathroom has a shower to wash off what I don’t need, a sink to spit out my shame, and a mirror to look to my guide.

I’ll have a phone so that I can call for help and a tiny bible which holds the faith I will keep in myself.

There will be a cute corner where I can meditate and a comfy bed where I regenerate.

The window will help me see the beauty in all things and let me know that there is a big world outside of my own.

There will be a house plant to remind me that I am constantly growing, evolving, and need to be nurtured.

The door will always be open so I remember the future is never far away, but most importantly so that love and gratitude may come in and out with ease.

This is Self Containment to me.

This is how I will be.
