So sure of something so untrue Image

Clear cut betrayal,
Though you didn’t think so
What a luxury it must be
To be sure of something so untrue
I look back fondly at this time that was defined by pain
Mostly because I was alone
I sat in the smouldering heat at night
Drinking sugary tea after sugary tea and smoking endless cigarettes
Doing the things you let yourself do, only whilst in distress
Basking in the pain that you had bought me felt empowering
I fantasised over revenge, imposing heartbreak upon you
But I’m bad at being bad
And I would hate to lose you
