If these walls could speak Image

That house doesn’t feel like the beginning of a new life anymore.
Groundbreaking fruition turned to a stale mess.
So many memories, so many emotions.
Those walls have seen me unclothed, they’ve seen me vomit, cry and cook burritos.
They have seen me slink off into the night to smoke –
After you said something that bothered me before you rolled over to sleep.

When I looked into the bathroom mirror I asked it if I looked different.
It said yes, you’ve lost some weight and you’re less timid than the last time I saw you.
Too bad the mirror looked exactly the same.

If the walls in that house could speak, they’d tell me to shhh…
And to stop being so sentimental.
