I look in the mirror.
I see you in my blue-grey eyes,
I see you in my high cheekbones
& unruly tangled hair.
I see you in my smile;
the way it turns up at the ends.
I see you in my stubbornness;
how we don’t back down.
I see you in Mother Nature;
tenderly growing with care.
But most of all, I see you in
my dreams…
Like mother like daughter,
I feel & carry you in every breath.
I look in the mirror.
I see you in my blue-grey eyes,
I see you in my high cheekbones
& unruly tangled hair.
I see you in my smile;
the way it turns up at the ends.
I see you in my stubbornness;
how we don’t back down.
I see you in Mother Nature;
tenderly growing with care.
But most of all, I see you in
my dreams…
Like mother like daughter,
I feel & carry you in every breath.
