2020 As A Poem

A year filled with smoke

A year that couldn’t breathe

A year erupted and shaken

A year of displacement and loss

A year frightened by the cost

A year asphyxiating the weak

A year asphyxiating the strong

A year poisoned yet alive

A year that cleared the skies

A year we couldn’t go outside

A year with no cure

A year left waiting

A year meditating

A year hoping, praying

A year adjusting, changing
