Greeted the year

with a hangover. Never again. That’s what I said anyway. Made plans. Followed through with them. Flew off to a distant land. Came crash landing back to earth. Worried what others thought of me. Became isolated. Lost a few friends. Gained a better one. Forgot how to do everything, so tried new things. Leaped into opportunities. Jumped back onto social media. Didn’t regret it, for a while. Educated myself. Clung to the idea of comfort, but continuously stepped outside of my comfort zone. People my age began to get engaged. Freaked out about getting older. Delved into nostalgia. Dug out some childhood memories. Basked in them for a while, then came back to reality. Worked a lot. Started my first internship. Grew distant. Lost a friend and didn’t say goodbye. Prepared to move house. Wanted to write more stories, but didn’t. Wrote this instead.
